Ingredients:
- ⚫ 1 cup of almond or peanut butter*
- ⚫ 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- ⚫ 1/2 cup coconut flour
- ⚫ 1 tbsp coconut oil
- ⚫ 1 cup chocolate chips*
- ⚫ Parchment paper
Directions:
1️⃣ Mix the nut butter, syrup and coconut flour in a medium mixing bowl.
2️⃣ Line a small pan (8×8 or 11×9) with parchment paper. Spread the thick mixture as evenly and flatly as possible into the pan—using your hands often works best!
3️⃣ Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil and melt either stovetop or in the microwave
4️⃣ Pour the melted chocolate evenly on top of the nut butter mixture in the pan
5️⃣ Freeze for 1 hour and then cut into small squares using a serrated knife*
Pro Balance Tips:
⚫ Melt your chocolate chips on low heat to avoid burning them.
⚫ Savor 1-2 pieces in the evening with a soothing cup of herbal tea, like peppermint or chamomile!
*Notes:
⚫ Choose nut butter with only essential ingredients—just nuts and salt!
⚫ Opt for chocolate chips with minimal ingredients. Look for brands free from dairy, soy, gluten, and added sugars, like Hu’s Baking Dark Chocolate (only 3 ingredients!).
⚫ Don’t stress if your squares aren’t perfectly shaped or if some pieces crack. It’s all about balance, not perfection!
