Servings: 4
Ingredients:
- ⚫ 4 chicken breasts
- ⚫ Salt + pepper
- ⚫ 2 lemons ( 1 sliced + 1 juiced)
- ⚫ 1/4 cup olive oil + 1 tbsp
- ⚫ 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- ⚫ 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- ⚫ 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- ⚫ 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
- ⚫ 1/2 tsp sea salt
- ⚫ Ground pepper
Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 400°F and set aside a baking dish.
2️⃣ Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
3️⃣ Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
4️⃣ Once the pan is hot, add the chicken breasts. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until lightly browned.
5️⃣ Transfer the browned chicken breasts to the baking dish.
6️⃣ In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
7️⃣ Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken. Gently move the chicken around in the dish so some of the sauce gets underneath each breast.
8️⃣ Top each chicken breast with a slice of lemon.
9️⃣ Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
1️⃣0️⃣ Serve with your favorite Balance side and spoon some of the warm lemon-herb sauce from the baking dish over the chicken. Enjoy! 🖤
Notes*
- ⚫ Sensitive to citrus? Simply leave out the lemon. You’ll still have a flavorful, juicy herb-marinated chicken breast that can be better suited to your needs!
